STONERIDGE AT WELLS BRANCH OWNERS ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING May 6, 2008 6:30PM
The meeting was called to order by President Linda Jackson, with six property owners represented.
The president introduced the board members: Steve Marcyes, and Dan Ernst, Landscape Committee Chair. Sandra Bishop, Bishop Company, was present representing association management.
Sandra Bishop outlined the financial report for the past year. She suggested that the association have an audit of utilities statements going back several years. It was agreed that West Source 512-346-8707 would be hired. They will be paid one half of any credit received on utility statements. No other fees will be incurred for the service.
Steve Marcyes reported that the Architectural Committee had only received three requests for improvement to their properties, which seemed to be a smaller number than in previous years.
Dan Ernst, Landscape Committee, reported on the recent new grass project and when we might go back to using water from the MUD's well. The goal is to keep the new grass watered until it can begin serving its purpose of reducing water needed for this type of grass to flourish. Approximately six months more is needed before going back to well use. He also asked for project suggestions. Owners suggested getting bids on fence replacement in the common areas with metal posts to be used plus 8 foot new fences and use 6 inch wide slats. Current water expense and cost of fencing will determine when fences might be replaced.
The Stoneridge POA Budget FY 2008-2009 was reviewed and approved by voice vote. An amendment to increase the budget allocation for water expense to $300.00/mo. was also approved.
Dan Ernst also reported that the web server price will remain the same. He has also set up a link for neighbors to contact Oncor Co. for needed street light repairs.
Linda Jackson asked for suggestions for social events. Chris Ruiz reported that his wife wants to start a kids' play group, and that she will put out notices to owners. A notice will be placed in the next newsletter and on the website.
The president also encouraged owners to continue to keep pressure on the owners of 1825 Parralena, known as the “gambling house”, to keep officers coming by to inspect the area for violations.
Owners then unanimously approved the election of Linda Jackson, President, Steve Marcyes, Vice President and Dan Ernst to serve as secretary/treasurer.
Board meetings will be held on August 5, 2008, November 4, 2008, February 9, 2009 and the Annual meeting to be held on May 5, 2009.
The meeting was then adjourned.
